It’s extraterrestrial vs man-made machine in this new clip from the James Gunn-producedBrightburn, a superhero horror film that flips the classic “alien saves Earth” movie trope completely on its head…
Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new clip from the James Gunn-produced superhero horror Brightburn. Directed by David Yarovesky, the upcoming film flips the superhero genre on its head.
Brightburn asks the intriguing question: “What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?” Well, the previously released red-band extended scene gave us an idea, and it’s not pretty.
The latest clip is much more tame than the gruesome diner scene, but still offers a chilling feeling as we witness this dangerous alien make a startling discovery about its potential powers.
Written by Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn, Brightburn is directed by David Yarovesky. It stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Matt Jones and Meredith Hagner, and is set to hit theaters on May 24.
