ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE Director Teases Martian Manhunter “Watching Over Them All”

Not too long ago, Zack Snyder shared some Justice League storyboards revealing that the meeting between Lois Lane and Martha Kent was meant to culminate with the latter being revealed as Martian Manhunter. However, he then would have transformed into General Swanwick, a character we became acquainted with in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

His role in the DC Extended Universe beyond that was unclear, but this was a significant reveal, and one which got fans even more invested in the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement (which paid off now Zack Snyder’s Justice League is being released on HBO Max next year).

Yesterday, actor Harry Lennix shared his excitement for the release of the “Snyder Cut” on Twitter, and the filmmaker later shared that on Vero by indicating that Martian Manhunter is “watching over them all.” That cryptic message indicates that the hero’s role in the DCEU thus far has been to keep an eye on the team, and may shed some light on what Snyder had planned moving forward.

Interestingly, Lennix would later reply to a fan who shared a storyboard image of Martian Manhunter with a wink emoji, a sign perhaps that he will reprise the role for this unfilmed sequence…
