Diego Luna’s ‘Andor’ Season 2 Filming Reportedly Starting In November

Diego Luna’s Andor series is reportedly filming its second season later this year at Elstree Studios in the United Kingdom.

Much of the focus at the moment is on Obi-Wan Kenobi, but Lucasfilm is also rumored to release Andor this summer as well. More details surrounding the series led by Diego Luna will surely come at Star Wars Celebration next month, but a new report suggests when filming on Andor season two will start.

Andor star Stellan Skarsgard let it slip back in February that a season two was already in the works. Making Star Wars has now reported that Andor season two principal photography will kick at Elstree Studios in November and might run for 18 months, but that could also include another Lucasfilm production. The United Kingdom’s Elstree Studios is no stranger to Star Wars projects since The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were filmed there years ago.

Diego Luna first appeared as Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Here is the synopsis for the film:

Directed by Gareth Edwards from a screenplay co-written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy based on a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta, Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
