Jeremy Renner’s ex-wife has levelled worrying claims against the Avengers star, stating that he threatened to kill her alongside their daughter.
Jeremy Renner and his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco are currently locked in a custody battle for their daughter Ava and now Pacheco has filed legal documents claiming that during a drug-fuelled argument the Avengers star talked about killing her before putting a gun in his mouth and threatening to kill himself. He also supposedly fired the gun into the ceiling while his daughter slept. The claims come from Sonni Pacheco’s request to change the joint custody order to sole custody, citing the threats and his substance abuse as the reason for the change.
The documents obtained by TMZ also claim that Ava’s nanny overheard Avengers star Jeremy Renner saying that “it was better that Ava had no parents than to have [Sonni] as a mother.” Sonni Pacheco also accused the Avengers actor of threatening to kill her last November, telling someone “he just wanted her gone.” The documents additionally state that Jeremy Renner also left cocaine in a bathroom within reach of his daughter. When TMZ asked Jeremy Renner’s representatives for comments on the accusations, they said the following:
“The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy. This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.”
It’s a troubling situation regardless of what’s true and what isn’t. What do you make of the accusations against the Avengers star? Let us know in the comments!
