‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Concept Art Shows Crazy Unused Star Destroyer Design

Concept art for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker reveals a wild unused ship design for a First Order Star Destroyer.

For the most part, the ship designs in the sequel trilogy had a strong resemblance to what we had seen before in the original trilogy. In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the Final Order Star Destroyers were almost identical to the ones the Empire used during the Galactic Civil War. The most notable First Order ships in the sequel trilogy came in Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi with the Dreadnaught and the Supremacy.

On Instagram, Star Wars concept artist Doug Chiang shared an unused First Order Star Destroyer design that features two decks. It’s unclear if this Star Destroyer design was for Colin Trevorrow’s Duel of the Fates or J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker, but you can check out the concept art for yourself below.
