A new set photo has given us our first look at Wayne Enterprises for Matt Reeves’ upcoming film, The Batman.
The Batman has had something of a rocky production. The film was originally supposed to be written and directed by Ben Affleck. The star gradually dropped out of the role with it first being announced that he would no longer be directing the film before his screenplay was being rewritten and eventually left it altogether. The project was eventually put in the hands of War For the Planet of the Apes director, Matt Reeves who has been steadily working on the project. Now, we finally have our first look at the upcoming film.
Earlier today a series of images were posted that gave us a few looks at The Batman. These included set photos, the Gotham City Police, and possibly our first look at Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader. We now, however, have our first look at the Wayne Enterprises building. You can see the full image of the Wayne Enterprises building below:

Wayne Enterprises is, of course, the name of Bruce Wayne’s company with its headquarters in Gotham since its foundation. The actual role of Wayne Enterprises in the Batman franchise tends to differ depending on who is helming it. In Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, for example, Wayne Enterprises plays a key role in all three films. In other films, however, the company is barely involved in the plot and only seems to exist as an explanation as to where Bruce Wayne gets his money from. How big of a role Wayne Enterprises will play in The Batman has yet to be revealed.
What do you all make of this image? What role do you think Wayne Enterprises will play in The Batman? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
Full plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Jayme Lawson as Bella, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Peter Sarsgaard. Recently, Colin Farrell was reportedly in talks to play the Penguin.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
